Announcements (Week ending October 2)
REVIVAL
NURSERY WORKERS NEEDED—Revival is scheduled for Sunday thru
Wednesday, October 16—19. We need nursery workers for an infant/toddler
nursery for each of these nights. Please contact Sylvia if you can help.
WESLEYAN
WOMEN—will meet on tomorrow night at 7 p.m. Frances McBride is in
charge of devotions and the program. Frances & Linda Stallard will
serve refreshments. All ladies of the church are invited to attend.
WESLEYAN
MEN—Saturday, October 8, 8:10 a.m. at the Sirloin House.
SENIOR
ADULT TRIP—Saturday, October 8, we are planning a trip to Meadows of
Dan on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We will leave the church at 10:30 a.m. and
plan to be back around 4 p.m. Please bring money to eat lunch & if you
want to shop. Sign up on the bulletin board no later than today.
FEEDING
THE NEEDY—Jennifer Harris and Regina Carroll would like to thank
everyone for contributing to the “Feeding the Needy” ministry. We are
going to switch with another church that needed to and will be serving
again on the 9th of Oct. The menu consists of meatloaf, mashed potatoes,
green beans, cornbread and dessert. If anyone can help out with food items
that would be greatly appreciated. Please call Jennifer (623-8307) or
Regina (627-9023) as soon as possible to let them know if you can
contribute food. They will not need volunteers to assist with serving at
this time. Thank you so much!
We would also like to make a request for church members to start picking up items so we can make goody bags to give out at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Canned goods, candy bars, toiletries, lotion, toothpaste, deodorant, wash clothes, socks, anything would be appreciated. There are so many sweet people that come in and need help. This would not only be a nice thing to do during the holidays but throughout the year. Thank you so much for your generosity. Love, Jennifer and Regina.
AWANA STORE OFFERING—We will receive a special offering on Sunday, October 9, for our AWANA store. We hope you will give generously for our children.
WESLEYAN
KIDS FOR MISSIONS—will meet on Sunday, October 9, during both
worship services.
BABY
SHOWER—The church will host a baby shower for newborn Isaac Martin,
and mom, Tara, on Sunday, October 9, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the gym. All
ladies of the church are invited to attend.
DAYCARE
BOARD MEETING—Wednesday night, October 12, at 5:30 p.m.
HALLELUJAH
HOEDOWN—Saturday, October 29, at the church. Details will be
announced later.
LBA
MEETING—Sunday night, October 30, at 7:00 p.m.

FUND OFFERING—Sunday, October 30, during both worship services.

Men's Prayer MinistryAll men of the church are invited to join together for prayer prior to the 10:45 a.m. worship service. Please meet in the Prayer Warriors' class following Sunday School every Sunday morning. Please join us! BAD WEATHER SERVICE CANCELLATION INFORMATION:Cancelled Services Due to Bad Weather—If church services are cancelled due to bad weather, tune in to News2 (channel 9 on cable), WXII 12 (channel 11 on cable) or Fox 8 (channel 10 on cable). We will contact these stations with any cancellations. Wesleyan Men Prayer BreakfastOn the second Saturday of each month, the Wesleyan Men's breakfast is held at 8:15 a.m. at the Sirloin House restaurant, Hwy. 14, Eden.
